If you’re having trouble figuring out what to add to your Europe packing list for your next summer vacation, here is some inspiration for when you go shopping.
(Before you open your suitcase to pack, one of the best ways to organize everything and keep your durable luggage looking clean is to get packing cubes!)
In addition, a great and secure luggage storage to utilize during your summer Europe trip is Nannybag! It is easy to use; all you do is download the Nannybag app, type in the city that you will be visiting and when you plan to arrive and depart. At a small cost per luggage, Nannybag will list the stores, restaurants or hotels where you could drop your bag off at the city you are visiting.
Nannybag is also insured against theft, loss and breakage. It’s a convenient way to store your bags when you are traveling from one city to the next in Europe. This app is also great if you have to check out of a rental property early and don’t have anywhere to store your belongings.
Essential Dresses for a Europe Travel Packing List

Packing light is always ideal, so I often wear dresses. Tiered and babydoll dresses present a feminine, cute look and have been a summer go-to of mine for over the past two to three years.
I personally like to choose colors and patterns that complement the destinations I am visiting and that stand out amongst the background. For instance, in Barcelona, I wore a red babydoll dress that complemented the beautiful tile work of Antoni Gaudí!

I also loved wearing a light pink and white tiered dress to the lavender fields in Provence, France. Since lavender boasts a stunning purple color, it is always best to wear light colors like white and cream, light pink, light gray and pastel yellow.
What I love about wearing these two types of dresses are that you can pair them with both flat and heeled sandals. They also go well with straw hats and hair bows.

Pink, white, yellow and orange pop against cool coastal-colored backgrounds and locations. There is also nothing more satisfyingly aesthetic than wearing neutrals as well, such as beige and tan, during a Southern European summer. During my time on the Amalfi Coast, I loved wearing a bright lemon vintage Audrey Hepburn style cocktail dress in honor of all the beautiful lemon trees overlooking the Mediterranean Sea.
Statement sleeves have been a personal favorite too! Overall, when it comes to dresses, it’s all about what style and colors you feel most confident and comfortable in. Don’t forget that it’s okay to pair items that you normally aren’t used to putting together. You never know if you’ll come out with the next fashion trend!

Choosing breathable attire is key when creating a packing list for Europe summer travel! That is why some of the best things to pack for Europe in summer are linen pants and blouses as they provide extra comfort, sun protection and a cute look for any photo opportunity. If you don’t own any already, you should invest in some wide-legged, linen pants for not just your next trip to Europe, but for summer activities in general.
During my time in Marseille, on the French Riviera, I wore the beautiful linen set featured in the photo above. Overall, linen is perfect for any beach trip during the summer. I love how the material is light, fashionable and neutral.
When wearing linen during a European summer vacation, it is best to find high-waisted pants to pair with a crop top. From beach clubs, to fancy restaurants, to sightseeing, this outfit is perfect for all of Europe’s beach destinations. You can pair them with flat, slip on sandals or wedges.
Accessories for a Europe Summer Packing List

To stay cool and protected from the hot, summer sun, I suggest adding a nice sunhat to your Europe summer packing list. Wide-brim and straw sun hats are both trendy and functional for any outdoor adventure. (I am obsessed with my straw hat that has a bow in the back.)
In addition to beige straw hats, white and black hats are also beautiful to pair with any outfit during a Euro summer!
Sunglasses are also a must and I never leave my hotel without a pair to wear out. I always try to bring one or two pairs of shades on every summer trip!

Click here to snag this exact pair of sunglasses.
My favorite sunglasses are Maho Shades! From hiking the villages of Cinque Terre to sipping a cappuccino in front of the Duomo di Milano, Maho Shades’ sunglasses go well with so many different outfits.
What I love about Maho Shades are that they provide different styles for each facial shape. All their sunglasses have 100% UBA/UVB protection, include a lifetime warranty and come with a canvas hard case to protect each shade from being damaged.
What to Pack for Europe Summer for Shoes

Comfortable walking shoes are a must-have for any trip, but especially in Europe where you find yourself walking A LOT. I suggest packing a few pairs of comfortable sandals with a cushioned bottom because they are stylish and you can walk far distances without the fear of blisters or achy feet. Plus, they are versatile and pair nicely with most summer outfits.
When it comes to what to pack for summer in Europe, it’s all about finding the right balance between comfort and style, especially with shoes. You can also pair comfortable tennis shoes with a lovely skater dress, Birkenstock sandals with a cute short and crop top set as well as flip flops with your beachwear.

Experiencing a European summer is not complete without going to the beach. From the Greek Islands to the Algarve, European beaches are stunning and everyone is always looking fashionable.
Between gorgeous cover ups to adorable bikinis, I always love mixing and matching different beachwear during my vacation. During my time in Nice, I loved wearing a white bikini with a ruffle, embroidered skirt as a cover up. I also enjoyed sporting a satin pink dress to the beach club!
In regard to actual swimwear, high rise bikini sets and cut-out one pieces are always a great and stylish option for a European beach trip! (Don’t forget sunscreen to protect your skin from the European sun and also bring a reusable water bottle to keep yourself as you adventure!)
