A Girl’s Guide to Packing for a Trip:
Pin the Below Image to Keep Handy

If you know me, you can definitely say I liked to be organized (maybe a little too much). As organized as I can be, there is always a chance that I can forget something important. (Trust me, I’ve forgotten bras, underwear and even my eye contacts! Ugh, it’s the worst!) That is why I started creating a travel checklist while I pack for a trip. It helps save time and frustration.

Here is the list I use for the trips I go on throughout the year. I hope you all find it helpful for when you pack for your next vacation:

The Priorities:

- Purse
- Wallet
- Passport (if you are traveling out of the country)
- Copies of Your Passport
- Driver’s License (if you are traveling domestically or even if you are planning on renting a car)
- Money
- Cash (both in your own currency and the currency for where you are traveling to)
- Credit cards(s) (it is important to call your bank and let them know where you are traveling to)
- Cell Phone (If you are traveling overseas, make sure to contact your cell phone provider and get an international plan. It is worth it in case of an emergency or if you need to get in touch with someone back home. A cost saving option is picking up a SIM card when you arrive at your destination’s airport.)
- Portable Cell Phone Charger
- Laptop
- Camera (For Photography and Videography)
- Other Electronics (GoPro
, iPad, Kindle, Tablet, tripods, etc.)
- Chargers for your Electronics

- Eye Contacts, Glasses, Eye Solution, Etc.
- Prescription Medication & Birth Control
Toiletries, Necessities and Sleepwear:

- Pajamas
- Underwear (Bring more than you need.)

- Soap
- Facial Washes
- Deodorant
- Other Facial, Skin Care and Beauty Products
- Makeup
- Makeup Remover
- Perfume/Cologne
- Cotton Balls and Q-tips
- Jewelry (I recommend bringing costume jewelry and nothing worth a lot of value. For women who are engaged/married, it is best to leave your engagement ring at home and just wear your wedding band. Having expensive jewelry on you makes you a target for robberies and getting mugged. Also for single women or those who aren’t married yet, it is recommended to get a cheap band ring to put on your left ring finger to avoid unwanted attention at certain destinations.)
- Jewelry Bag
- Small Purse or Satchel to Go Out With
- Sunglasses

Wow! Absolutely love this Taylor! I have a similar checklist on my website with all essentials as well. I think it is important to be organized. 🙂
I always seem to forget an adapter for power. Then I end up having to buy something when I get there.
Those packing lists are seriously sooo useful Taylor 😍
