Experience the Best of the Hudson Valley, New York

Getting to Hudson Valley, New York:

The Tappan Zee Bridge at night in the Hudson Valley, New York

Like I mention above, the start of the Hudson Valley is located less than an hour north of New York City. The biggest cities to stay in are Nyack, Newburgh, Warwick, Poughkeepsie and Monroe/Woodbury.

To get to this area, you could either fly into Newark Airport, John F. Kennedy Airport, Laguardia Airport, Westchester County White Plains Airport or New York Stewart Airport in Newburgh/New Windsor. You can find great flight deals through Skyscanner!

Even though there are public transportation options such as the train and bus, it is best that you rent a car if you are traveling around this area of New York.

Staying at Hotel Nyack:

The bed at The Time Hotel in Nyack

During the month of March 2019, I didn’t have major international travel plans and switched my focus to exploring my local area. On a Thursday night, after a rather long and draining week, I remember checking into Hotel Nyack in Nyack, New York for a well-needed solo staycation and a local boutique hotel experience. (I also revisited Hotel Nyack in May 2021 to enjoy a two-night staycation with my mom.)

Decorations in The Time Hotel in Hudson Valley, New York

I absolutely fell in LOVE with this trendy chic hotel and am definitely looking forward to spending some fun evenings at Hotel Nyack during summertime. Staying at Hotel Nyack alone is one of the best experiences in the Hudson Valley!

As the only upscale, boutique hotel with loft-style accommodations in Rockland County, New York, Hotel Nyack was once a factory warehouse that was transformed into a place for creative souls and business travelers alike.

About Hotel Nyack in the Hudson Valley:

The beautiful entrance way to The Time Hotel room

Situated right off of the New York Thruway in Nyack, New York, Hotel Nyack by Joie de Vivre by Hyatt is super close to some pretty awesome and convenient places!

Hotel Nyack is located around 45 minutes from New York City; it is a short walk from downtown Nyack where there are cute boutique shops, restaurants, cafés and fitness studios; it is super close to the Tappan Zee Bridge (Mario M. Cuomo Bridge) that takes you into Westchester County; you could enjoy premium shopping only 20 minutes away at Woodbury Common and there are nearby towns with amazing eateries such as Piermont, Sparkill, Nanuet, Suffern and more.

The lobby at New York's The Time Hotel

Throughout the hotel are lounge areas, meeting rooms, a speakeasy and gorgeous artwork that you will be admiring for days. As a boutique travel blogger who loves all things dreamy, Hotel Nyack had me feeling so joyful with its urban lights.

Not only does Hotel Nyack offer accommodations for people to have a good night’s sleep, they also have a fitness room so that guests could stay in shape during their visit. There is also an awesome seasonal pool and hot tub that is open from Memorial Day Weekend in late May through Labor Day Weekend in early September. The hotel aims to provide a Hamptons vibe to their guests, so there are cute lounge chairs, umbrellas and an outdoor bar to sip refreshing beverages.

Beautiful furniture at The Time Hotel

Hotel Nyack also offers complimentary parking, which is really convenient! They are also pet friendly as well, so you don’t have to leave your furry friend behind.

Rooms at Hotel Nyack:

During my stay at Hotel Nyack, I was placed in their Balcony King room. I absolutely ADORED this room and found it to be so beautiful, cozy and decorative. It really gave me such a happy feeling staying in this room. I also had an amazing night’s sleep because the king bed was unbelievably comfortable!

The beautiful hotel rooms in Nyack, New York

The Balcony King room featured decorative wallpaper, cutting-edge furniture, beautiful chandeliers, a bed that lit up, dark wood floors and a beautiful carpet that was underneath the bed. Because the room was loft-style, there were 11-foot ceilings and large windows!

In addition, there was also an outdoor balcony that had gorgeous views of the Hudson River, Tappan Zee Bridge/Cuomo Bridge (which was so cool to see at night) and downtown Nyack.

The comfortable bed at The Time Hotel in Hudson Valley, New York

What is awesome about Hotel Nyack‘s rooms are that they are mobility accessible that include roll-in showers. They also offer hearing accessible rooms with visual alarms and notification devices for the doors and phone. I love hotels that make things easy for every individual!

Beautiful lamps at The Time Hotel in Nyack

In addition, there is WiFi, luxury linens, a mini refrigerator, safe, Keurig coffee and tea maker, a flat screen TV, work desk, radio alarm clock, a fancy lounge chair with a jeweled ottoman, custom bath amenities, a phone, iron and ironing board upon request and a hairdryer. I also loved how clean and spacious the bathroom was.

Eating at Hotel Nyack:

One of the best parts of staying at Hotel Nyack was having everything you need right inside the hotel. My mom met up with me the night I stayed at Hotel Nyack and we enjoyed dinner and drinks at The Grille at Nyack that offers a seasonal dining experience.

BV's Grill at The Time Hotel in the Hudson Valley, New York

This vibrant steakhouse not only has a dreamy indoor space, they also have a fun outdoor patio that features stringed lights and a bustling atmosphere. The Grille at Nyack also offers delicious steaks and seafood as well as pasta dishes for lunch and dinner. Eating here is definitely one of the top experiences to be had in the Hudson Valley!

My mom and I both had red wine and we also savored amazing dishes. As an appetizer, we shared the delicious shrimp and crab dip with avocado, bacon and wonton chips. (It was one of the best dips I’ve ever had.) For my main dish, I got the crab cakes and my mom savored the salmon. Everything was delicious!

The Grille at Nyack is made up of three sections: there is a restaurant area, bar and also a lounge. In addition, they also have a great selection of wines!

Wine from the Hudson Valley

Along with all of the amazing food options at The Grille at Nyack, Hotel Nyack also offers a complimentary continental breakfast as well as a regular à la carte breakfast for an additional cost.

During my first visit in 2019, I enjoyed an à la carte breakfast, so I ordered room service and enjoyed a Belgian waffle with fresh strawberries and bacon in my hotel room.

Even though I am normally not a room service person, I definitely enjoyed having this breakfast in my gorgeous room!
