Transportation to Paros:

Ferry: The best way to get from island to island in Greece is by taking the ferry. There are a plethora of ferries that run throughout the day and it usually takes anywhere from a half hour to a few hours to get to and from each island. While you are on the ferry, there are areas where you can leave your luggage based on where you are going. There is also a bar where you can order food and drinks.

Taxi or Rent a Car: When you finally reach Paros, you can either rent a car, which is the most expensive option (out of the two) or you can travel around via taxi. No matter where you are staying on the island, you can find taxis everywhere. If your hotel is close to the popular village of Naoussa, walk to the different restaurants and bars to work off your dinner and drinks.

There is also an airport on the island of Paros. You can find affordable flights through Skyscanner!

Sail Away on the Aegean Sea:

One of the best and most fulfilling things to do in Paros is signing up for an island boat tour. The best Greek island to do a boat cruise is Paros and it is the perfect day trip while staying here.

Next to the main island of Paros is a smaller island called Antiparos that offers secluded beaches, beautiful cliffs, glistening blue/green water and vast land that will leave you amazed for days. It’s one of the most unique places to visit in Greece!

Blue waters of Paros Greece

In all honesty, the day that we did our island cruise had to be one of the most fun days of my life. There is nothing better than being surrounded by gorgeous views and water and dancing on a boat to Greek music!

In addition, the cabin crew served us refreshing Greek wine as well as the country’s signature beverage called Ouzo, which is an anise-flavored liquor. It was amazing!

Our first stop on our island cruise was to an area that consisted of the most beautiful, emerald-looking water I’ve ever seen. This was the first place on our island excursion where I was able to jump into the water and experience pure bliss! There is a reason why Antiparos is considered one of Greece’s must see places.

The next adventure on our Antiparos boat cruise led us to beautiful cliffs. If you’re someone who loves nature and is wondering what to do in Paros to enjoy a fun adventure, you cannot skip out on doing a boat tour to Antiparos! On this island, you can explore the ancient caves and archaeological sites while admiring the amazing scenery.

Our boat stopped at a beautiful cove where we were able to swim through caves and jump off a cliff. When you go cliff jumping, I recommend that you bring water shoes so that you don’t easily slip and get hurt. You will also thank yourself since the rocks are so rugged and painful to walk on.

Next to the cliff were small caves where you could swim through. If you have snorkeling gear, I recommend bringing it with you, as you will be able to see some jewels under the beautiful water!

Antiparos Greece

After our cliff jumping and cave exploring adventure, our cabin crew threw us a delicious barbecue for lunch. Depending on your boat cruise and how long it is, most of the time it will include a lunch or dinner.

In our case, we got to enjoy grilled chicken and pork that was served with homemade pita bread, Greek salad, tzatziki sauce and fresh fruit. It was amazing to say the least.

Right before our island cruise ended, we stopped at the famous ‘Blue Lagoon’ (not to confuse it with the Blue Lagoon in Iceland). It is in this spot where you could perfectly see the sea floor through the crystal clear waters.

Overall, this is the perfect place to go swimming! You can also make your way over to the private beach nearby. Above all, it is the best spot to take photographs too!

Taking a boat tour in Paros is a full day of fun and adventure. I highly recommend this experience whether you’re traveling to Paros with friends, family, a significant other or even by yourself!

Other Top Things to Do in Paros Greece:

Paros Church

Agios Ioannis Detis Church: This beautiful blue domed church in Paros looks over Naoussa bay. It is a popular photo spot in Paros and a must see! It’s also a popular tourist attraction on the island for the classic Greek island view.

Panagia Ekatontapiliani Church: Located near Parikia, the capital of Paros, this monastery is well-preserved and a beautiful historical site on the island.

Agia Triada Church: A stunning Byzantine church in Lefkes village, this is the second largest church on the island.

The Valley of the Butterflies: Located near Parikia, enjoy a stroll through this unique natural area, featuring jersey tiger moth butterflies. It’s one of the best things to do in Parikia!

Paros Marathi Marble Quarries: These ancient marble quarries are located in Marathi. The Venus de Milo is actually sculpted from Parian marble. Napoleon’s tomb was also made from this marble.

The Environmental and Cultural Park of Paros: Paros Park is a massive area that features caves, hidden coves, beaches,= and unique rock formations. Take a hike, enjoy a meal or just relax and enjoy the beauty surrounding you.

Venetian Castle of Paros: The Venetian Fort of Naoussa used to serve as a watchtower for pirates, but now it is a partially submerged watchtower where you can walk out to on a short path.

Best things to do in Paros - sail around Antiparos!

Overall, I had a fun and relaxing time on the beautiful island of Paros. In fact, it was my favorite of the Cyclades Islands. I highly recommend everyone to make their way to Paros, Greece if they are traveling around the Mediterranean. It is the perfect island to visit in between Santorini and Mykonos.
