I am so excited to put together a list of the BEST restaurants in Northern New Jersey (mainly in Bergen and a few in Hudson, Passaic, Essex and Morris County), including Southern Rockland County, New York!
I get asked all the time by good friends and family, what I recommend for a family dinner, date night, take out and a friends’ get together in Northern New Jersey. Below are the top 60 best restaurants in Northern New Jersey from my personal experiences:

OMG that’s a huge list! I’m drooling now… I love exploring a new place via its food scene. Btw, is that bacon in your cocktail?! ahah x

So many and I bet you chose only the best ones. Would love to try some, especially the vegetarian/vegan ones of course ☺️Alot of great places mentioned in this blog! I have been to several of them and I have to agree with you~ amazing food! Now I am starving ~ where should we go eat tonight? Love you, mom xoxo
Thanks for this helpful info. I’m making a plan to go tour to your city as I feel so much bore in this lock down.
However, I am a foodie and love to taste french foods and recipes. But I was confused on which restaurant I should go when I visit North Jersey.
Thankfully, now I have a handful of options. Thanks for sharing this indepth info.
One question- is there any restriction to visit your country due to Covid-19? Are the restaurants open?
Waiting for your response…

Haha yes, I’ve eaten out a lot over the years. I’m such a foodie and enjoy tasing local cuisine when I travel too. 🙂 Also yes, that wasn’t from a local restaurant though, it was actually from a maple bacon spot in Montreal. So yummy!

You’re welcome Jennifer! That is awesome you are looking to explore New Jersey. It is a great state! Also, I am unsure of what the current situation is between the U.S. and Canada, but I would personally wait to visit here until borders are completely open and you don’t need to quarantine. All of our restaurants in New Jersey are open for both indoor and outdoor dining, but indoor dining has limited capacity. Everything is amazing here though and you will not be disappointed with what you get to eat when you eventually make your way here. 🙂
